The mission of The Suicide Prevention Task Force of Schuylkill County (SPTF) is to prevent suicide through public education and awareness, community action, and local grassroots advocacy.
The Suicide Prevention Task Force of Schuylkill County is an unincorporated association and is a sponsored project of Schuylkill County’s VISION, a 501c3 organization. Through fiscal sponsorship, VISION provides tax exempt, nonprofit corporation status that provides infrastructure and the ability to receive and disperse funds for programs that may or may not be incorporated.

Life Beyond Suicide – A support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Please call or text for current location.

QPR Gatekeeper Training (Question, Persuade, Refer)
Much like CPR, the fundamentals of QPR are easily learned and may save a life. The Schuylkill County SPTF offers QPR training at no cost.

Save A Life Youth Program
This program for youth is a cooperative effort of the SPTF and the Junior Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board of Schuylkill County. Save A Life is available free of charge to students and youth groups. It includes the showing of a DVD (approx. 22 minutes) and a member of the Task Force will present warning signs and referral information.
