
The Penny Gallery at The Pond in Carlisle, PA is holding Out of the Dark, an exhibit of artwork opening the paths to healing for suicide loss survivors, and opening doors to hope in the struggle for suicide prevention, in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month in September.
Art entries are being accepted now through August 16th. Check out our photos for additional details.
The exhibit will run from September 6-28th with a Welcome Ceremony on Saturday, September 7th from 11am to 3pm.
The gallery is closed Sundays and Mondays!

ENTRY GUIDELINES
DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: FRIDAY, AUG. 16, 2019
Digital submissions may be emailed to

Hand delivery times are limited to store hours, Mon-Sat. 10-6.
Non-refundable submission fee of $25.00 must accompany each submission, maximum of 2
artworks per artist.

All creative forms and media are welcome for submission: 2D, 3D, mixed media,
written/spoken word , and film/video, use your imagination! Artists must provide their own
devices for anything requiring technology for display. 2-D pieces: Framing is not required, but all wall hung work MUST have proper sturdy wiring to
support the piece, sawtooth hangers are not compatible with our hanging system and will not
be accepted. Inadequate framing could result in artwork being removed from the exhibit. No
exposed glass edges. Gallery wrapped canvases with painted sides are acceptable.
Entries will be handled with the utmost care, but submitting artists agree to hold The Penny
Gallery, The Pond, Pat Craig Studios, PCS Properties and their employees harmless in any claim
from damage or theft of any kind during the receipt, hanging, and run of the exhibit, as well as
the packaging and return shipment of work. Artists should arrange for proper insurance
coverage. Entry to the exhibit constitutes acceptance of all conditions.
All sales of artworks from this exhibit will be subject to a 25% sales commission retained by The
Penny Gallery during the exhibit. All sales commissions collected will be donated to Prevent
Suicide PA.Works, including those sold, must remain in the exhibit during the full run of the show.
The Penny Gallery reserves the right to photograph, or use the artist’s jpg entries for promotion
of the show and include as part of the online Facebook album established for this exhibit.
The Penny Gallery is a privately owned gallery, open to the public and works to maintain a
friendly, inclusive environment. The Penny Gallery reserves the right to refuse any work based
on content, poor quality, presentation, or unsuitability.UPON ACCEPTANCE
