There are many ways you can memorialize your loved one while supporting AOASPCs mission to prevent suicide in Pennsylvania, reduce the stigma and support those touched by suicide:
Gifts given in memory or honor of a loved one help implement our mission to prevent suicide in Pennsylvania, reduce the stigma associated with suicide and support those touched by suicide. Memorials, gifts in-lieu of flowers, or tribute gifts provide hope that others will avoid the tragedy of suicide. The Coalition will notify the family or friends of the person being honored of your donation or you make it anonymously – just make sure you let us know when you make the gift.
To make a donation, please click here or on the "Donate Now" in the upper right corner of this screen.
A Memorial Fund is another way to honor a loved one in a meaningful and lasting way.
A memorial fund can be established with a minimum gift of $1.000 per year, renewed annually, and is allowed to grow as more contributions are made. A Memorial Fund may be started through cash contributions from family, friends, co-workers or other people who want to help you honor your loved one. A fundraiser can also be established to help grow the fund. The money can be used as a scholarship fund so others can attend a suicide prevention conference, training, or workshop or a survivor of suicide loss conference, or a support group training. We will work with you to help you create the fund and determine how to best use the available money.
Memorial Fund establishers will be recognized in our newsletter and on our website. If a fundraiser is established to grow the fund, we can work with you to create your own page for your Memorial Fund, along with a photograph of your loved one.
A Memorial Fund is a great way to support the Pennsylvania Adult/Older Adult Suicide Prevention Coalition and to honor the memory of a loved one.
Do you work at a company that has a matching gift program? If so, ask your company for a matching gift form and send it to us - we'll do the rest. Your donation could be doubled or tripled! Some companies also match gifts made by retirees or spouses. Be sure to check and see if your company will match your donation to the Coalition.

Students, churches, musical groups, bands, etc. can all help the Pennsylvania Adult/Older Adult Suicide Prevention Coalitions mission by organizing an event to benefit the Pennsylvania Adult/Older Adult Suicide Prevention Coalition. You can help by organizing a motorcycle rally, dinner, walk, bicycle ride, auction, etc. in your community with the proceeds supporting our organization. It’s also a great way to honor the memory of your loved one.
Feeling Blue Suicide Prevention Council held a "Swing into Life" Swing Dance with Swing Kat Entertainment on July 21, 2007 as one example of a creative benefit. We're open to other ideas!
